In the 1950s the tv first came out with 3-5 channels. This is an advancement from the 1930s and 40s because there is more channels with more information and is even better with communicating things to the public on news channels. The radio was still very much a source of communication in the 1950s. It became even more advanced from the 1940s because it was now being installed in cars so people could listen when they were driving in the car. Another new form of communication came out also in this time period called the teleprinter. The teleprinter was an electrical typewriter that delivered typed messages along telegraph lines. There was nothing like this in any of the eras before.
